Crystal or Crystalline glazes show visible and distinct crystal growth in the matrix of the fired glaze. Crystals move throughout the glaze during firing, creating a distinctively interesting appearance. They can be microscopic or incredible size and beauty. Crystals have been demonstrated in infinite colors, shapes and patterns but they only grow if the right chemical and temperature (during the firing process) conditions are present.
