A collection of five unique bowls designed by Berndt Friberg for Gustavsberg and a small bowl from Carl-Harry Stålhane for Rörstrand, ca. 1950's - 1970's

In this collection
Historians of material culture say bowls were invented during the Neolithic era, about 4,000 to 10,000 years ago. Bowls were an upgrade from cupped hands and folded leaves as a way to drink water. And, as our ancestors moved from hunting and gathering into a more settled, agrarian lifestyle, they began to make vessels from wood, stone and clay to hold food and other supplies.
