Karlskrona Porslinsfabrik AB was founded in 1918 with an original purpose of importing porcelain from England to sell on the Swedish market. But the war made this difficult and imports worked poorly. the company therefore decided to start his own porcelain production.
In 1925, Edward Hald was hired as the artistic director until 1942 when Uppsala Ekeby AB took over the company. Vicke Lindstrand became the new artistic director and Arthur Percy was aslo hired as designer. In the fifties, Sven-Erik Skawonius who was the artistic director for the entire UE group, designed new models for Karlskrona which were then presented at the world’s fair in Helsingborg (H55) in 1955. The production was shut down in 1968.
