Nymølle

There isn’t much accurate information about Nymølle but we can say that the company was certainly owned by the Schou family who already posessed other ceramic factories such as Knabstrup. Nymølle was established in Denmark just before the second world war and renown artists Arne Bang and his brother Jacob worked there for a short period of time.

In the fifties, almost all the product lines were designed by Bjørn Wiinblad. Other designers such as Gunnar Nylund were employed as Wiinblad became busier with a wide variety of design work he managed for the group. Nymølle enjoyed a great success and prosperity during the 1960s.

In the mid-1970s, the financial situation changed in a negative way and Nymølle struggled for a couple of years before to be acquired by Bjørn Wiinblad himself who continued the production until the 1990s.
