Wallåkra Stenkärlsfabrik was created in 1864 but had a difficult start and a countless number of owners during the first 20-30 years. Things became more stable in 1949 when the Andersson brothers, Arthur and Stig run the company after the death of their father. Wallåkra was prosperous between 1950 and 1976 and became known for its high quality eathenware products. The production stopped in 1986 but the beautiful original factory is still open to visit.
