It is interesting to note that the graceful shapes from the Song dynasty (960–1279) era, from which Nylund took inspiration to design this vase, follow the same principle as the “Golden Ratio” or « Divine Proportion”, a mathematical proportion erected in aesthetic theory during the Renaissance by Luca Pacioli & Leonardo da Vinci (1498).
